Initiation of a new Mason
On 10th February 2016, Bedeword Lodge No: 7274 held its 500th meeting since its consecration in 1953. The Lodge was opened by our honoured guest W. Bro. Christopher Rogers, Assistant Provincial Grand Master, who congratulated the Lodge on achieving such a milestone in its history. The Lodge was also honoured by the presence of several other acting Provincial Officers and cherished visitors, who all helped make the evening very special and memorable for all concerned. The Lodge's Visiting Officer W. Bro. Graham Venn, presented the Lodge with a certificate on behalf of W. Bro. David Macey, Provincial Grand Master, in recognition of submitting our three year plan to Provincial Office, this being part of a major initiative to promote the growth of Freemasonary in Warwickshire.
Following an excellent demonstration of the Third Degree Ceremony by the Bedeword team, we retired for refreshment at the Festive Board, during which W. Bro. Chris Blunt of Burbach Lodge No: 8699 from across the border in Leicestershire and Rutland, surprised us all by returning a commemorative goblet to the Lodge which was made for our 25th Anniversary. The kindness of Masons never ceases to amaze!
The celebrations went on until around 11.00pm. Everyone left VERY content!
